Cubic Pyrite in Matrix

Item Description:

These Incredible Cubic Pyrite specimens come from the mine called “ Mina Ampliación a Vitoria” in Navajún, Spain. Navajún lies nestled in the low Alcarama Mountains of La Rioja, Spain. The typical reaction folks have upon first seeing this Cubic Pyrite is “No way are those cubes natural!” Even though we know that they are, and have the pictures to prove it. The appearance of Pyrite is a brassy yellow or pale gold opaque stone with a bright metallic luster.

Metaphysically Pyrite is a very protective stone, shielding the user from negative energy of all kinds. Use Pyrite to block energy leaks and mend auric tears. Working with the Solar Plexus Chakra, Pyrite is helpful for those having trouble with will-power, anxiety, and/or commitment. Used on the Third Eye Chakra, Pyrite strengthens mental abilities and awareness of higher forms of knowledge. Meditating with Pyrite can help one to overcome shyness, bringing a greater feeling of assertiveness, without becoming a bully. Pyrite is often used in prosperity rituals, due to it's stimulating energies of manifestation. Pyrite is great for use in grids. Pyrite also promotes good physical health and emotional well-being. Pyrite is helpful for any type of infection and can purify the systems of the body.

The name Pyrite comes from the Greek word pyr (meaning fire), because pyrite actually emits sparks when it’s struck by iron. In fact, it has been used to start fires since prehistoric times. Pyrite has also been used in jewelry for thousands of years. Examples of this jewelry from the ancient times of the Greeks, Romans and Incas have been found. Pyrite was, and still is, an ornamental material. Ancient Greeks polished it to make pins, earrings and amulets. It was also popular in Victorian Britain. Pyrite is highly reflective so the Incas used pyrite tablets as mirrors. Although lighter than gold, prospectors used to mistake pyrite for gold, earning it the nickname, fools gold!
